White's solo work is possessed of a much more eerie spark, exaggerating the implied drone at the heart of the music of Dock Boggs and The Stanley Brothers, wooden six-string banjo, violin, button accordion and kalimba accompanying his high, lonesome voice making for an almost psychedelic stew! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ also ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On second we have the duo of Jacob Aranda and David Cuetter! When not backing up Paula Frazer n Tarnation, these Bay Area buds can be found sippin' whiskey and spinnin' their own ballads! Come be taken in by the surprising lushness of just two dudes, as heavy as ranch dressin'! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ also! also! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starting off the night with former Austin, now Bay Area musician and creative technologist: Bill Baird! Beckoning & beguiling balladering bustin' out! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ralph White - https://www.ralphewhite.com/
Ralph White "A roots musician in the truest sense, Ralph White channels his love of traditional American genres (folk, country, blues) through a variety of instruments including banjo, fiddle, guitar, button accordion and kalimba; without retreading old paths, makes music that is at once in the moment and seemingly of times long past. He is, as the Austin Chronicle puts it, "a [self-taught] master of ethnomusicology."
Ralph White has played & traveled around the US and the world, toured with the Butthole Surfers and played in numerous outfits including the legendary Bad Livers."
